I am a second year PNP student with a focus in management. During the summer of 2007, I worked with the New York City Department of Small Business Services in their Capacity Building Unit on Program Development. Prior to joining Wagner, I worked for three years for a small management consulting firm in Washington D.C. where I led strategy development and implementation projects with the Federal government and national nonprofit organizations. Professionally and academically, I am interested in how we, as future public sector leaders, can build leadership, management, and organizational capacity in nonprofit and public sector organizations to improve their ability to meet their missions. I was born and raised in Rhode Island and graduated from the University of Richmond's Jepson School of Leadership Studies, where my experience at Jepson helped defined my career choices and current academic interests. I married in June 2006, just prior to moving to New York. Personally, I am interested in baseball, golf, and finding those unique, out-of-the-way and hidden eateries that only New York can provide.
