Students of African Descent Alliance
Mission
The Students of African Descent Alliance (SADA) has been a part of the Wagner community for many years, although I am unsure of the exact date of inception. Prior to 2006, SADA was “defunct,” but leaders during the 2006-07 academic year brought the group back to life by contributing programming for the entire Wagner community and building a strong executive leadership team. Since 2006, SADA’s influence in the Wagner community and in the greater NYU community has continued to expand. SADA aims to enhance the educational and social experience of students of African descent by providing—forums for academic, professional and social development as well as service, support and social networks that build community and offer opportunities to exchange ideas and resources.
